Growing up, incense had always been part of how my family prayed - a calming presence in our home.
And that is where I discovered incense sealing. I started incorporate incense sealing into my personal practice while navigating a difficult period in my life.
The practice became my daily ritual. Slowly, it brought self-love back into my life, and helped me feel worthy of receiving it again.
Why this brand exists
I was blessed to have access to this medium that helped me out of a difficult time, and I realised that most people in this part of the world had never heard of incense sealing.
Because of how it had changed my life, I wanted the people who needed it like I did to experience that too.
Before Peoni & Stone existed, when it was just an idea, more than 700 people joined the waitlist. That was when I knew Peoni & Stone had to exist - for the 700+ people and counting who were looking for a way to reconnect with themselves and feel worthy of receiving self-love again. Peoni & Stone launched in February 2026, and we are Australia's first brand dedicated to incense sealing.
We hand-blend our incense powders, bloom aromatherapy and floral teas in our small Sydney studio, using locally sourced sustainable Australian agarwood and sandalwood.
The story behind the name - why Peoni & Stone
Peoni represents the delicate Peony flower - beautiful yet vulnerable. Stone represents stability and strength, and together they symbolise yin and yang. The name came from this balance of delicate beauty, strength and courage - the fragility and vulnerability we feel as a person, and the inner strength and courage we build to overcome challenges and adversity. It's a name apt for our brand, what we stand for, and for the people we have built this for.
What incense sealing actually is
Incense sealing is an ancient ritual, thousands of years old. Finely milled aromatic incense powders are pressed into intricately carved symbolic brass moulds, lit at one end, and left to release a slow ribbon of fragrant smoke. As the incense powder burns, the sacred symbol in ash remains. During this time, simply enjoy the scent, which can invoke certain emotions or feelings for you. Use this time to reflect, read, journal, meditate or enjoy a quiet cup of tea.

We are not a drop-shipping business.
Every product is made by hand in our Sydney studio. When you place an order, it is packed in our studio - often by me.

We sought out the best Australian growers for our powders. Our agarwood comes from CITES-certified, sustainably grown plantations in Queensland and the Northern
Territory. Our sandalwood is Santalum spicatum - the prized Western Australian variety, considered one of the most sacred and sought-after botanicals in the world. Every blend is made entirely from natural
ingredients, with no synthetic substitutes.
Genuinely affordable.
Our premium blends are appreciated globally for their purity and quality, but we have held our price point so that the ritual is accessible to as many people as possible.
Our incense sealing kits come with everything you need to begin: the burner, the brass tools, and a complete starter blend. The same applies across our bloom aromatherapy collection.
