Our Story

It began as a way to find my way back to myself.

Growing up, incense was always part of how my family prayed — a calming presence in our home. It's where I first discovered incense sealing.

I began incorporating incense sealing into my life while navigating a difficult period. The practice became my daily ritual — and slowly, it brought self-love back into my life, and helped me feel worthy of receiving it again.

Why we exist

Built for everyone still searching for the way back.

I was blessed to have access to something that helped me out of a difficult time — and I realised most people in this part of the world had never even heard of incense sealing. Because of how it had changed my life, I wanted the people who needed it, like I did, to experience it too.

Before Peoni & Stone existed — when it was still just an idea — more than 700 people joined the waitlist. That was when I knew this had to exist: for the 700 and counting who were looking for a way to reconnect with themselves, and to feel worthy of receiving self-love again.

Peoni & Stone launched in February 2026, as Australia's first brand dedicated to incense sealing. We hand-blend our incense powders, bloom aromatherapy and floral teas in our small Sydney studio, using locally sourced, sustainable Australian agarwood and sandalwood.

Why Peoni & Stone

Peoni represents the delicate peony flower — beautiful, yet vulnerable. Stone represents stability and strength. Together they symbolise yin and yang: the fragility and vulnerability we feel as people, and the inner strength and courage we build to overcome adversity. It's a name that speaks to what we stand for — and to the people we built this for.

What incense sealing actually is

Incense sealing is an ancient ritual, thousands of years old. Finely milled aromatic powders are pressed into intricately carved, symbolic brass moulds, lit at one end, and left to release a slow ribbon of fragrant smoke. As the powder burns, the sacred symbol remains behind in ash.

During this time, you simply enjoy the scent — which can invoke certain emotions or feelings for you. Use it to reflect, read, journal, meditate, or enjoy a quiet cup of tea. If you'd like to bring this into your own life, you've come to the right place.

Made by hand, not drop-shipped

We are not a drop-shipping business. Every product is either specially curated or made by hand in our Sydney studio. When you place an order, it's packed here — often by me.

Premium ingredients, thoughtfully sourced

Our agarwood comes from CITES-certified, sustainably grown plantations in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Our sandalwood is Santalum spicatum — the prized Western Australian variety, one of the most sacred botanicals in the world. Every blend is entirely natural, with no synthetic substitutes.

Genuinely affordable

Our blends are appreciated globally for their purity and quality, but we've held our price point so the ritual stays accessible to as many people as possible. Our kits come with everything you need to begin — the burner, the brass tools, and a complete starter blend.
