Product Warranty

This Product Warranty outlines the coverage and conditions for warranty claims.

Warranty Coverage

Standard Warranty Period

12 months from date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship when products are used according to instructions and care guidelines provided and normal use.

Warranty covers genuine structural faults (see section below: What Constitutes a Genuine Warranty Fault).

What Is Covered

We warrant against:

  • Manufacturing defects (structural flaws, material failures)
  • Faulty construction or assembly
  • Defects in finish or functionality that affect product use
  • Components that fail to function as designed under normal use
What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, improper care or storage
  • Damage from accidents, drops, or impact
  • Damage from exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, or misuse
  • Damage from non-authorised repairs or modifications
  • Damage from failure to follow care instructions
  • Products purchased from unauthorised resellers
  • Water damage, rust, or corrosion from improper storage and care
  • Damage from use outside the product's intended purpose
Ceramic and Porcelain Products—Manufacturing Characteristics Not Covered

Due to the nature of artisanal and small-batch ceramic production, this warranty does not cover variations that result from the inherent manufacturing process. The following are natural characteristics of ceramic and porcelain production and are not considered product defects. They are NOT covered under warranty:

  • Colour and glaze variations – Slight variations in colour, glaze finish, sheen, or texture between pieces or within a single piece
  • Surface imperfections from production – Minor glaze inconsistencies, subtle texture differences, uneven glaze application, or slight glaze drips (if product remains functional)
  • Size and shape variations – Variations in size or shape within normal manufacturing tolerances
  • Clay body characteristics – Natural clay body variations, minor speckling, or minor asymmetries
  • Decorative element placement – Slight variations in the placement of decorative elements
  • Crazing and aging – Fine surface cracking (crazing) that develops over time from thermal stress or normal use
  • Discolouration and staining – Surface marks or discolouration that occur from use or storage
  • Glaze wear – Loss of glaze from regular handling, cleaning, or storage

These characteristics are expected, valued features of artisanal ceramic production, not manufacturing defects. They add authenticity, uniqueness, and character to each piece.

Brass and Copper Products

Due to the nature of brass and copper metals, this warranty does not cover changes that result from natural aging and environmental exposure.

The following are natural characteristics of brass and copper and are NOT covered under warranty:

  • Patina formation – Natural darkening, colour variations, or oxidation that develops from exposure to air and moisture
  • Tarnishing – Natural tarnishing of brass or copper surfaces
  • Colour changes – Changes from UV exposure, storage conditions, or handling
  • Surface wear – Scratches, marks, or wear from regular use
  • Oxidation - from moisture exposure or storage in humid environments
  • Loss of polish and shine – Natural loss of original polish or shine that occurs over time

Corrosion from water exposure and improper drying is considered standard wear and tear, not a warranty defect. Brass and copper products require proper storage in cool, dry environments and should be dried immediately after any moisture exposure. Failure to do so results in natural corrosion and oxidation, which is the customer's responsibility.

These characteristics are features of living metals that change with age and exposure to huminidity, they are not manufacturing defects.

  • Damage from exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, or conditions inappropriate for the item

What Constitutes a Genuine Warranty Fault

We provide warranty coverage for the following genuine manufacturing defects:

Ceramic and Porcelain Products:

  • Structural cracks or chips in the clay body that are present at time of purchase and not caused by customer mishandling, transit damage, or normal use
  • Glazing defects that affect the product's function or safety (e.g., glaze bubbling or cracking that causes weakness, glaze peeling that exposes bare clay and compromises waterproofing)
  • Manufacturing defects (e.g., lopsided construction that prevents product from sitting flat or functioning as intended)
  • Safety hazards (sharp edges, product is unsafe to use)
  • Wrong item shipped (you received a different product than ordered)
  • Missing or broken components (if product shipped incomplete or broken on arrival, clearly not due to customer handling)

Brass and Copper Products:

  • Structural defects in the metal construction (e.g., weak joints, broken attachments, faulty assembly)
  • Manufacturing defects that affect function or safety
  • Defects present at time of purchase, not caused by customer handling or environmental exposure
  • Wrong item shipped (you received a different product than ordered)
  • Missing or broken components (if product shipped incomplete or broken on arrival, clearly not due to customer handling)
