Some days you want the scent without the whole ritual.
Not every day has room for a full practice, and it doesn't need to. This set is for the days when you just want something easy - light a single coil, rest the fan lid over it, and let the scent find its way through the room while you get on with everything else.
Osmanthus is one of China's most loved flowers - a delicate apricot-and-honey scent that drifts through tea houses and gardens come autumn. Each coil is shaped into the ruyi (如意), the classical symbol meaning "as you wish", long given as a token of good fortune and the granting of wishes.
The Mini Fan Burner is made for these mini incense coils. The lid is styled after a hand fan, one half drawn into fine radiating slats and the other carved with gourd and trailing vine, allowing the fragrance to filter out through the delicate cut-work design. A fireproof mat is included to insulate it and keep airflow moving through the burn.
Small enough for a desk, a bedside table, or the corner of a kitchen bench.
What's included
How to use
Light the tip of a coil and let the flame catch, then blow it out gently. Set the coil on the mat inside the burner base, rest the lid over the top, and leave it to burn down on its own.
Care
Handwash the burner only and dry it immediately to avoid corrosion. Brass and alloy finishes develop patina over time - that character is part of the piece.
Coils can be replenished separately when you run low, and the burner suits most mini incense coils and cones.
