Polishing Cloth for Metal Tools

Our silver polishing cloth is an essential item for keeping your brass tools in top condition. Our cloths contain mild polishing agents that work across multiple metals through gentle mechanical and chemical action. The soft, non-abrasive cloth contains fine abrasives and cleaning compounds that remove oxidation and tarnish, restoring shine and lustre without scratching the surface.

Despite its name, our Silver Polishing Cloth is not metal-specific — it safely cleans and polishes all non-plated precious metals.

Not suitable for:

• Plated items (silver-plated, gold-plated, or lacquered pieces) — the cloth may damage or remove the plating
• Brushed or satin-finish stainless steel — polishing cloths are designed for polished surfaces only
• Gemstones or pearls — use a soft, untreated microfibre cloth instead
• Oxidised silver (intentionally blackened items) — polishing will remove the blackened finish

How to Use

1. Gently rub the cloth over tarnished or dull areas using light pressure
2. The cloth will darken as it works — this is normal and shows the tarnish being removed
3. Buff with gentle circular motions until desired shine is achieved
4. Never wash the cloth — store in a sealed bag to preserve the impregnated polishing agents
5. The cloth remains effective for 50+ uses before replacement is needed

Storage & Care

Store your polishing cloth in a sealed zip-lock bag or container after use. Do not wash — washing removes the impregnated polishing agents and renders the cloth ineffective. The cloth will continue working even as it darkens significantly.
