Our Four Incense Sealing Seals - The Symbolism & Intention Behind Each One

Our Four Incense Sealing Seals - The Symbolism & Intention Behind Each One

Each of our seals are selected for their symbolic meaning, each one rooted in ancient wisdom and spiritual practice; that anchors your intention into something tangible and real.

We've chosen four seals, each one carrying centuries of cultural significance. Each carries it's own meaning, and aligned with our four core intentions.

This is what each seal symbolises, why we chose it, and how you can work with it in your practice.

The Lu Seal (祿): Manifestation

What Lu symbolises:

Lu is an ancient Chinese symbol representing prosperity, abundance, earned success, and the recognition of your contribution. Over 3,000 years old, this character carries a specific wisdom: it symbolises not luck, but the rewards that come from meaningful work and integrity.

Lu teaches that abundance is something you create through aligned action, honest effort, and clear intention. It represents the principle that when your work matches your values, prosperity naturally follows.

How it aligns with manifestation:

Manifestation, at its core, is about alignment. It's the practice of clarifying what you want, becoming the version of yourself that naturally attracts it, and taking action that matches your intention.

When you light the Lu Seal, you're working with the ancient principle that prosperity comes through alignment; between your vision and your actions, between what you want and who you're becoming. Lu doesn't promise luck. It promises that when you show up with integrity and intention, the universe recognises and rewards that.

Also powerful for:

Lu supports any practice where you're affirming your worthiness (Self-Love & Healing), releasing scarcity mindset (Anxiety & Energy Clearing), or claiming earned rest (Calm & Deep Relaxation).

The Double Happiness Seal (囍): Anxiety & Energy Clearing

What Double Happiness symbolises:

Double Happiness is iconic in Chinese celebrations. Written as two "happiness" characters joined together (囍), it represents joy that's amplified and sustained, not fleeting or temporary.

The seal's power lies in what it represents: the lightness that emerges after you've cleared what no longer serves. It's the celebration of space reclaimed, of burden released, of peace returning. Double Happiness invites joy deliberately into the space where burden used to live.

How it aligns with energy clearing:

Energy clearing is the practice of removing what's stagnant, stuck, or no longer aligned. It's making space. And when you make space, what naturally wants to move in? Joy.

When you light the Double Happiness Seal and practice energy clearing, you're working with the ancient principle that clearing opens pathways for happiness to return. You're not forcing joy. You're removing what was blocking it.

Also powerful for:

Double Happiness amplifies any practice of celebration; marking your success (Manifestation), affirming your inherent worth (Self-Love & Healing), or settling into peaceful contentment (Calm & Deep Relaxation).

The Lotus Seal: Self-Love & Healing

What the lotus symbolises:

In Eastern philosophy, particularly in Buddhism and Hinduism, the lotus is one of the most sacred symbols. It represents rebirth, enlightenment, and the journey from darkness into light.

The lotus grows in muddy water, in conditions that seem impossible for such beauty to emerge. Yet it unfolds pristine and untouched by the mud beneath it. This is why the lotus symbolises transformation: it teaches us that our past, no matter how difficult, does not define our present. Our wounds do not determine our worth. We can bloom exactly as we're meant to be.

How it aligns with self-love and healing:

Self-love is the lotus practice. It's the choice to see yourself as worthy not because of what you've accomplished or overcome, but because you exist. It's understanding that your journey through difficulty - through pain, mistakes, challenges - doesn't make you damaged. It makes you real.

When you light the Lotus Seal and practice self-love, you're embodying the lotus wisdom: you are worthy exactly as you are, right now, in this moment. Your worth is not earned. It simply is. And like the lotus, your journey through mud is part of your beauty.

Also powerful for:

The lotus supports any transformation; turning vision into reality (Manifestation), clearing old patterns (Anxiety & Energy Clearing), or settling into gentle, accepting peace (Calm & Deep Relaxation).

The Concentric Circles Seal: Calm & Deep Relaxation

What concentric circles symbolise:

Concentric circles represent stillness at the centre, ripples of peace radiating outward. They symbolise the state of profound calm; grounded, centred, at ease.

Across spiritual traditions, circles are symbols of wholeness and completion. But concentric circles add another dimension: they show layers, a journey inward. Each circle represents a deeper movement toward the centre, toward stillness. The symbol teaches: calm is not a distant destination. It's found in layers, each breath taking you closer to the still point within.

How it aligns with calm and deep relaxation:

Deep relaxation is not something you force. It's a state you access by moving inward, layer by layer, from the surface activity of your mind toward the stillness at your centre.

When you light the Concentric Circles Seal and practice deep calm, you're working with the ancient principle: there are layers to peace, and each breath can take you deeper. Your nervous system doesn't need you to fight. It needs you to gently, deliberately, move toward your own centre. That's where the deepest calm lives.

Also powerful for:

Concentric Circles ground any intention, clarifying your vision (Manifestation), building self-acceptance (Self-Love & Healing), or returning to centre when scattered (Anxiety & Energy Clearing).

How to Work With the Seals

Each seal has a primary intention: the state or practice it was designed to support. But here's what matters: you can pair any seal with any intention blend based on what calls to you. It's your choice, your practice, and your alignment.

The seals are flexible. The symbolism is deep. You choose how to work with them.

To use the seals, you'll need:

  1. Your chosen seal (Lu, Double Happiness, Lotus, or Concentric Circles)
  2. Your chosen intention blend.
  3. An incense burner (designed to hold your seal).
  4. Intention (clarity on what you're lighting into being).

Each seal is a reminder that you're not inventing anything new. You're tapping into ancient wisdom that countless people before you have relied on, believed in, and embodied.

When you light one of these seals, you're activating a presence that's been true for thousands of years.
